Sabine is a warm, empathic Clinical Psychologist dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based psychological therapy that is collaborative, respectful, and tailored to each individual. She believes that meaningful growth and lasting change occur when people feel safe, understood, and supported. Central to her work is the understanding that therapy is most effective when it honours a person’s unique personality style, lived experiences, concerns, and personal goals.
A core focus of Sabine’s practice is working with trauma. She has extensive experience supporting individuals affected by PTSD and complex trauma, including childhood trauma, relational trauma, and the unique challenges faced by first responders, veterans, and current Defence personnel. Sabine understands the profound impact trauma can have on identity, relationships, occupational functioning, and emotional wellbeing. She provides a safe, structured therapeutic space in which traumatic experiences can be processed at a pace that feels manageable, with an emphasis on restoring a sense of safety, agency, and self-compassion.
Sabine completed her clinical training and PhD at the University of New South Wales in Sydney in 2007. Since then, she has worked across a range of private practice, public health, and clinical research settings. Her experience includes working in trauma services, addiction treatment, adolescent mental health, and delivering evidence-based parent training programs. She currently divides her time between private practice in Bondi Junction and her role in public health at the National Centre for Veterans’ Health Care, where she works with veterans and active Defence members experiencing trauma-related and other mental health concerns.
Sabine provides individual therapy for adults across the lifespan and has experience working with people from diverse cultural and personal backgrounds. In addition to trauma-related presentations, she works with mood disorders including depression and bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders such as OCD, specific phobias, panic disorder, and social anxiety, as well as traumatic loss and grief. She also has experience supporting individuals experiencing substance use and addiction issues, understanding the complex interplay between trauma, mood, and addictive behaviours.
Passionate about helping clients gain the most from therapy, Sabine focuses on supporting individuals to move through challenging life periods while building resilience and strengthening personal resources. Her approach integrates evidence-based modalities tailored to the individual’s needs, always grounded in a collaborative therapeutic relationship.
At its heart, Sabine views therapy as a partnership. Through increased self-awareness, emotional processing, and practical skill development, clients are supported to create meaningful behavioural change and cultivate a stronger sense of agency and direction in their lives.
Sabine holds full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society and the Australian Clinical Psychology Association.
Please note that Sabine does not currently have capacity to accept new patients under a Work and Development Order (WDO) or through Victims Services.
